I look forward to learning more about the all humanity network. It looks great so far. I look forward to contributing as much as I can. I'm actually working for oil/gas now but I'm still very interested in humanitarian work.. how can you not after being around Nethope!
Thank you so much for inviting me to this group, hope it is going to make a difference in my situation and thereafter, even more will benefit,i like this work!
As the same comments about poor communication, coordination and collaboration follow every major international disaster, it is clear that we need to improve collectively and work together, so I support your efforts fully. Humanity First have just run the first Medical Disaster Response Course for the UK Government Disaster Response Team in conjunction with UK-Med. We have been running this internally for the last few years in the UK and US to help prepare clinicians and logistics support staff prior to deployment as a lecture-based and practical training course with outstanding feedback. This has helped members of our DR Teams in the management of thousands of patients affected by disasters with the highest standard of clinical care but also with humanity, humility, collaboration and shared ownership. We are keen to start running these courses in high risk countries to help improve resilience and develop a closer working relationship prior to disasters, so any support from you and through the All Humanity network would be most appreciated.
I am transfixed as I review this site and feel the connection among the network members. This is the place I want to be as I know that I am made who I am, in each moment, by the others I surround myself with.
