In 1985, Cipriano left New York, sold his interest in the business, and entered real estate in California., Cipriano joined R&B Properties and eventually Paramount Group in LA, where he began to engage in commercial real estate management and development. In 1987 he co-developed, and built his first property, Elmwood Galleria Office Complex. In 1989 he opened his own real estate venture "Cipriano Development Group" (CDG).
